It's time for him to go

It is so important to know the authority that you received from Jesus.

"I give to you the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and on all the power of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall hurt you;" ~ Luke 10:19

We have the same power over the devil as Jesus has,

"“I don’t have much more time to talk to you, because the ruler of this world approaches. He has no power over me, but I will do what the Father requires of me, so that the world will know that I love the Father. Come, let’s be going." ~ John 14:30-31

We have the same power over the devil as Paul did.

"One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a demon-possessed slave girl. She was a fortune-teller who earned a lot of money for her masters. She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.” This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her." ~ Acts 16:16-18

Just like Jesus chose to lay down His life for us, Paul chose to be beaten, imprisoned, and killed for Jesus.

At anytime Paul could have put the devil in his place and left all of the torment. Yet he chose to suffer for Christ.

"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." ~ 1 John 4:4

When satan gets to persecuting you, know that it is our right, through Christ, to tell Satan to kick rocks! He is beneath us. He is our footstool. He lower than a worm. Even your dog might not obey you when you tell her to sit. But satan must obey you because of the authority given to us by Jesus Christ.

If you get a lying symptom of pain in your stomach, you might say, "It's the flu." You might not know this, but you just gave a name to that demon that is persecuting you. That fine.. It's in you authority to do so, but now you must call it by its name and tell that "flu" demon to leave you in the Name of Jesus Christ, and never come back!

In the story of the demon possessed boy, we see Jesus give a name to the spirit and then cast it out of the boy.

"When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, You dumb and deaf spirit, I charge you, come out of him, and enter no more into him." ~ Mark 9:25
(BTW, you cannot have a demon possess you. You have been filled completely with the Holy Spirit.)

Whether you knew you had the authority or not doesn't make your authority any less real. But you must know that you have the authority to make it a benefit to you... Because then you know you can send the demon away.

This is so important to know. In my experience, when God starts pouring His revelations into your heart, the devil springs forth to try and destroy that seed. He wants to kill that seed of knowledge so that it can't be any benefit to you. Because if it benefits you, it benefits the whole body of Christ. He wants to keep you from being of any use to the rest of the body of Christ, because even he knows that the Kingdom of God is like leaven the spreads throughout every part of the dough.

So, unless you want to be persecuted in the exact same way over and over, your going to have to show that demon the door! As a mother, the devil knows a great way to hurt me is to hurt my children. He persecuted my family with lying symptoms of illness. We hadn't had any symptoms of illness in 4 years, and as soon as God was revealing things to me we all started showing signs of sickness over and over and over again. Until I told the demon, "In the name of Jesus Christ, who gave me the authority over you, get away from my children and never come back!"

I was angry...
Doesn't this demon know who I am?
Doesn't he know who I am in and who is in me??
And doesn't he know who my Dad is??
Of course he does!!

It's ridiculous to let this butthead continue to mess with me and my family!
Don't let him do it to you either!

Jesus chose to be beaten, ridiculed, and killed for us to have righteousness and everything that comes from our new righteousness! So do not waste it!

"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." ~ 1 Peter 5:8

"...stand up against the devil, and he will flee from you" ~ James 4:7
