His Love

Today I have a very special guest, my mom, with an article on His Love.

In the heart of every girl, of every woman is the desire to hear her father tell her that she is daddy's favorite girl and that she always will be daddy's favorite girl. If you are like me, (many of you I'm sure are), you never heard a word of praise from your earthly father. Never did he say "I am proud of you". Never did he say "you're daddy's princess". Never did he say "you're  daddy's favorite little girl and you always will be". So if you were like me, you set your heart to stone. You grit your teeth -you became hardened and learn to live without that and decided that you did not need it. Rightfully so. This was a survival mechanism for the time being.

When you think about it, each one of us as women need to have that one special person, that one person that is truly for us above all others. For us more than they are for any other person. Someone who puts us above all else. When we are little girls it is the role of the father to do that but as women (if we are married), that becomes the role of the husband.

Church, Christ is our heavenly
husband. According to scripture we are His bride and for women, we have a more personal understanding of this because we know the role of the bride, we get to play it out in our earthly lives. If you stop and search your heart for the things that you would love to hear from your father, your earthly father, then hear your heavenly husband Jesus saying those things to you, or your papa in heaven, your Abba Father in heaven telling you the same things. He says to us each and every day, "you're my favorite girl. You are my princess. You are my pride and joy. You fill my heart with complete happiness. I love to be with you and talk to you every single day. You are amazing and wonderful and I would do anything for you".  More than anything else, He wants you to see and understand His great love for you. But you will need His help. You will need to pray for supernatural revelation of His love because it is too great for us to understand in our own minds. (Read Ephesians 3). Everything rests in His love for us. Everything begins and ends in His love for us.

Seek to understand your new identity in Him (there is now no more condemnation for those that belong to Him, we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, we are seated at the right hand of the father with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places, we are deeply loved, greatly blessed and highly favored).

Seek to know His promises and plans to give us an abundant life here and now and for eternity. Seek to understand His great love – to understand how wide, how deep and how high His love is for you.

Seek to enter into His rest. The only thing the Bible ever tells us to labor to do, is to "Labor to enter into His rest". (Heb.4:11).

There is an old hymn that says, "Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of this Earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace".
