What is Faith?

Yesterday I posted about how obedience is faith..
When you have faith, you obey.

So what is faith?
Hebrews 11:1 tells us.

Though we wait for Christ's return,
we wait knowing that He WILL return.

We may not see, in the physical, our healing,
but we know it WILL manifest...
For there's nothing hidden that will not be made manifest (Mark 4:22, Luke 8:17).

We know that what God has said in His word is true,
because God cannot lie (Hebrews 6:18).

So we have a confident hope and conviction in our hearts that
all of the promises of God WILL manifest.

That's Faith.
But do you want to know something mind blowing...

God has given you faith (2 Peter 1:1
He graciously gives us more and more (Galatians 5:22, Mark 4:25).

You don't have to believe harder,
you have been given a measure of faith (Romans 12:3)!!
How much is a measure?
Well I'm sure it's at least a mustard seed-sized amount of faith (Luke 17:5-6)!
And Jesus told us what happens to a mustard seed...

"It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches." ~Matthew 13:32

Because everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance (Matthew 25:29)!

Furthermore, Christ is in you!
What do you think Christ's faith is like??
When God looks at you, He doesn't see doubt, He sees the faith of Christ!

Praise Jesus, we have been given everything we need to do His good will
He has left no loose ends!
His grace is our safety net, we can't screw this up!
What an awesome Father!
